Audemars Piguet Royal Oak prices in 2026 run from about $20,000 pre-owned for an Offshore Diver to $70,000–$85,000 for a steel “Jumbo” Extra-Thin. Most steel Royal Oaks still sell above retail on the pre-owned market, because AP boutiques can’t meet demand and most buyers never get offered one at list price.
There are two exceptions. Gold models often trade at or below retail, and the Offshore line usually trades under it. Below are current retail and pre-owned prices for the references people ask us about most.

Pre-owned ranges reflect full-set examples in clean condition. Dial color moves a watch within its range, with blue at the top. Prices move, so call or message us for today’s number on a specific watch.

What changes the price of a Royal Oak
Dial color. Blue is the benchmark. On the 15510ST, a blue dial typically sells for around $8,000 more than black at the same retail price.
Box and papers. A full set with the AP warranty card is worth a clear premium over a watch-only example. If you plan to sell later, buy complete.
Generation. The 15400 and 15500 are the value play for a 41mm steel Royal Oak. The current 15510 costs more for its newer movement and current production status.
Steel vs. gold. The big premiums are a steel story. Gold Royal Oaks cost more at retail but hold far less markup pre-owned, which makes them a strong buy if you want precious metal.
Royal Oak vs. Offshore. The Offshore line trades below retail pre-owned. If you want an AP sports watch and don’t need the classic Royal Oak case, it’s the cheapest way in.
Case condition. Royal Oaks are all sharp brushed and polished edges. A heavily polished case with soft bevels is worth noticeably less than an unpolished one. Always ask.

Why buy your Royal Oak from The Watch Connect
You won’t sit on an AP waitlist, and you won’t gamble on a stranger’s listing. Every watch we sell is authenticated in-house before it goes on the floor. You can see it in person at our Garden Grove appointment showroom before you commit.
If the reference or dial you want isn’t in stock, we can source it for you. We also take trades, so the watch in your drawer can go toward your Royal Oak.
Royal Oak price FAQs
Is a Royal Oak worth more than retail? Most steel references, yes. The 15510ST and 16202ST Jumbo both trade over list price, the Jumbo by a wide margin. Gold models and the Offshore Diver usually don’t.
What is the cheapest Audemars Piguet Royal Oak? A pre-owned Royal Oak Offshore Diver 15710ST is the most affordable way in, at around $20,000. For the classic 41mm Royal Oak, a pre-owned 15400ST is the lowest entry point.
Can I buy a Royal Oak at retail? Not easily. AP boutiques allocate steel Royal Oaks to established clients, and wait times can run years. Pre-owned is how most buyers get one.
How much is the Royal Oak Jumbo? The 16202ST retails for about $40,100, but pre-owned examples sell for roughly $70,000 to $85,000 depending on dial and condition.
Do Royal Oak prices still go up? Prices fell 40 to 50 percent from the 2022 peak, then leveled off. Several current steel references have firmed up again over the past year. Nobody can promise appreciation, so buy the one you’ll wear.
